No go...

So anyway, I didn't end up going out last night. It was cool, because that meant I could get up on time today and spend a whole bunch of time searching out places to visit in various USofA cities.

But here is the big shout out to you guys in Internet land..... If anyone has a "Must Visit" place for Fort Lauderdale, Los Angeles, Las Vagas, San Fran or New York holla out in the comments section.

Id be very interested in any of your recommendations for places to go during the day, and deffinently where to party at night. Plus all the Gyms where the meat lift weights...That would be good to know ;-) (And you know that info is just gonna lead to more stories for you guys to read ;-D)

So I hope you guys take some time out of your days to let me know, Id be really grateful...Experience is the best educator.

I featured your blog in a post today.

Brenton of Aussielicious has been to San Fran and has a bf who lives there, so he should be able to help out there. As far as NYC, Joe.My.God. should be able to help there. I could only tell you the tourist attractions and to go see show on Broadway and a museum. I hear the Metropolitan has a stunning private collection of Cezanne until the end of the year. Not sure what else you are into that I can help with...

Sna Francisco -- Musee Mecanique, and the Camera Obscura at the Cliff House, Seal Rock and the Sutro Baths. (Don't get too excited; the baths are ruins.) All of these are out on Point Lobos, and a short walk through the woods will give you a private view of the Golden Gate Bridge.

There is also a Camera Obscura in Santa Monica.

Also in SF, check out City Guides walking tours.

New York City -- the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and, down the street, the Frick Collection.

The "Top of the Rock" doesn't put you through as much hype as The Empire State Building.

Of course, you already know Broadway and Christopher Street/Greenwich Village.

How are you getting from Los Angeles to San Francisco? I hope you're driving. Take Route 1 through Big Sur. Stay at the River Inn, not too expensive. If you don't take this drive, you'll have to put it on your list of things to do next time. Of all the things to do and see, this drive and the exploration of this area is my favorite. Hands down.

OK, the advice about museums and the Empire State Building is great but any guide book will tell you that shit. When in NYC check out Snaxx, its listed in HX or Next magazine. For something really fun and trashy go to Bloomingdales department store. Up on the 6th floor is a public bathroom frequented by the staff and it has a really hot and really active glory hole. Ditto the public loo at Hunter College on Lex and 66th street. The mens room on the 4th floor is where all the hot college boys go before and after class. Also, check out the West Side Club in Chelsea for a good example of a NYC sex club. When in S. F. stop by Mr. S Leather, one of the biggest leather and fetish stores in the world. Ask for Ivan the manager. He used to do porn under the nom de porn Gabriel Cortez and is one of my oldest friends. Also drop by Hot House Entertainment (the worlds premier porno movie production company I've got them linked on my blog) and ask for Brent (my ex boyfriend)or his BF Steven Scarborough the famous adult movie director. They run the company and can direct a hot young boy from Aussieland to any number of local trouble spots like Blow Buddies - a must for any out-of- towner. Maybe Brent and Steven will offer to put you in a movie. Tell them Scott from Bill in Exile sent you and if you get offered a role in a porno movie just remember that I get 10 percent of your paycheck but I'll take it in trade the next time you're in Seattle instead.

Sue: Totally thanks!! I think being featured like that is the ultimate compliment! I feel so humbled that you enjoy my writings so much as to recomend them so broadly!! Wow. And thanks for the heads up on the Cezanne exhibit... not very often you get to be in the same room as those kinds of masterpieces... (And fingers crossed on Joe.My.God giving me a hand eh? He's a fun dude...)

Steve: I am actually driving up the coast from LA to San Fran!! Ill deff take the route you suggested...I was just gonna Google Map it, but I would prefer a more scenic route. And with such a high recomendation..... Id be a schmuck not to.

And Scott: What am I going to do with you? (Hehehe and once we all get over those dirty thoughts Ill continue...) Thanks for the advice, you've hit the nail on this stuff...hehehe
Me thinks Hunter College sounds like a great tourist site, as well as Mr Leather. Sounds like my kind of place!
Oh and you know Ill be looking up Brent and Steven at Hothouse...I gotta pay to extend my trip somehow....Plus Ive always wanted to try porn!! But I do think 10% is a little too low for your cut.... Ill accept your offer of accepting it in trade but it in that case that I think Ill have to pay it back to you 3X...It seems only fair..... (Plus I can't see us getting done any sooner then that!)

I like the way you think! Let me know when you'll be in S.F. and I'll let Brent and Steven at Hot House know to be on the lookout for ya.

And Steve Paris is right, the Pacific Coast Highway drive from L.A to S.F is incredible! Make sure to give yourself ALL day, its a long drive and there's lots to see including the Hearst Castle and Big Sur which is perfect for an out of doors fuck. Also, driving from south to north is much better and less scary than north to south since the thousand plus foot drop to the ocean is on the other side of the twisting narrow road.

hey there. love the blog.
in LA the meatheads lift at Gold's Venice (mixed crowd) and Gold's Hollywood (mostly gay).
- best burger and fries in LA - 25 degrees, across from the Chinese Theater in the Roosevelt Hotel (or In'N'Out right down the same street - Orange Av.)
- best carousel - the one in Griffith Park (sadly, the LAPD has virtually eliminated the once-rampant other benefits of griffith park)
- best Sat. night dancing - Hot Dog in West Hollywood
- best high-end gay scene -Beige (on Tuesdays at "The Falcon" on Sunset) amazing music, friendly guys if you're cute. you'll do very well.
- best hike with view (and gays and dogs) - Runyon Canyon park
- best place to hang with fun drunks - Big Fat Dick at Fubar on Thursday nights (flash yours and get a free shot)
- best place to hear intn'l caliber DJ sets - The Avalon on Saturdays
- sex club - Hollywood Spa, Flexx Complex (both are, like all, hit or miss and kinda prone to crystal queens, imho)
- stereotypical LA beach - Santa Monica to Venice
- surprisingly beatiful nature beach - El Matador State Beach

resources: Frontiers for gay shit, LA Weekly for art/music/club shit, KCRW (89.9, but you can stream it from AUS at kcrw.org) for good music and annoying DJ's, any of the "Herbal Remedy" "Care Provider Network" places along Santa Monica Blvd to get marijuana food/weed connections (much easier in SF if you can hold your horses)

hope you have a fun and safe trip.
peace
Sean
